Wars and Rumors of Wars

  Desmond Tutu (1931-)

A South African Anglican Bishop and anti-apartheid activist, Tutu won the Nobel Prize, and through his life has demonstrated how religious conviction and religious freedom are the motivation and source for his civic activism. His religious faith continues to inspire his work to end racism and to combat AIDS and homophobia.
